This thing drives like a leather lined tank... and I just can’t stop loving it. Only problem is that it uses about as much gas as a leather lined tank...

Everyone I know with a Cruiser says that the gas mileage is well worth it.

Oh it totally is. It’s like a S uburban that has all the driving characteristics of an S Class. And the thing is just so damn solid. The door thunk is like a bank vault.

Maybe more like a Tahoe...I definitely would have considered one if I could get the whole family (and dog) and luggage in one....hence I have a Suburban (and a minivan).

Yeah, my 2004 gets about 14mpg on my commute.
The funny thing is its gets about the same gas mileage as a newer Ram Power Wagon. Considering the sheer size of that vehicle and the engine needed to move it, its quite depressing.

Oh, I totally get it. I downsized from a suburban, but I kept mine around for the occasional glamping/trip to Home Depot

It really does get abysmal gas mileage. It’s worse than a suburban, even when driven with a light foot. It’s rare that something actually averages less than my S600, but this manages it.

Thats one big factor that makes me want to get rid of it. I can get a full size pickup with equal, if not better, mpg. But its also paid off and super reliable, so its not going anywhere...
